What will it cost to paint a set of cabinets?
This is usually the first factor on people’s minds when it comes to any kind of interior painting project. The answer varies widely depending on factors like the number of cabinets and their current condition, the quality of paint being used, and the contractor’s experience level. Generally, smaller cabinet painting projects may land in the $1,250 - 2,000 range, while larger projects can get to $10,000 or more. Most people’s estimates wind up falling somewhere around $3,000 to $7,500.
What is your process for painting cabinets?
We begin by drawing a map of the kitchen before disassembling removable pieces. That way reassembly is a seamless process. We take all doors and drawer fronts to our spray shop where they will be cleaned, sanded thoroughly, sprayed with a shellac based primer, finish sanded, and sprayed with a very durable cabinet grade finish coat (Gallery Series from Sherwin Williams). The cabinet frames (attached to the walls) will be worked on on-site. We will tape off the kitchen and prepare the space for spraying. Finally we will reassemble the doors and drawer fronts then present your brand new kitchen!
How long does it take to paint a set of cabinets?
Typically our process can be completed in 4-5 days. For larger cabinet sets more time may be needed.
